TODAY'S TANDEMS ARE SAFE, FUN AND EASY TO RIDE! TRY SOMETHING NEW, SHARE YOUR CYCLING EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Our passion for tandems and the desire to share the fun and healthy experience with others naturally evolved into the Midwest's largest tandem only dealership nearly 2 decades ago.

Once the many benefits of tandeming have been realized and the commitment has been made to fit a tandem into your budget, we would be pleased to share with you our 20 years experience and over 150,000 miles and provide recommendations.  If have reached the point to where you are ready to purchase, Email us so that you may receive the time and attention you need and deserve.  In you initial communication please include your cycling history, tandem history should it exist, your goals and aspirations for adding a tandem to your stable, the team weight, ages of riders, inseam length of the jeans each rider would wear, what you currently ride, whether you are competitive, fast sports riders, leisure and smell the roses type, or any other applicable descriptive you wish to share.  Feel free to include any other info you feel relevant to helping us understand your needs. A tandem involves multiple decisions and the fitting of two or more people.  Our recommendations will allow you to make an informed decision insuring that your goals and expectations are met.

Although most tandems are purchased sight unseen, we as tandem specialists offer, by appointment, personalized tandeming instruction for a nominal fee, for those that feel the need to touch and feel.  We spend 3+ hours learning of your needs and fit requirements, personally fitting the tandem to both riders, and provide both riders with personalized instruction.  Included is a safe instructive demo ride with an experienced captain where common shared duties are learned and assigned to each rider which formulates a sense of teamwork from the outset.  A ride with a considerate experienced captain is a positive and rewarding experience thus insuring many future fun filled memories to last a lifetime.  Expect to be able to ride a quality handcrafted tandem made in the U.S.!  The $150 fee is 100% applicable to the purchase of a new bike from Precision Tandems.  Email us when you are ready to move forward with a purchase.
