Hi Mark,
Here is a pic of the finished product. Actually, didn't get the hoods yet,
so will swap those out this week,...but we did get out on it's maiden voyage on
Sat. and it is truly a world apart from our old Bilenky. I mean it is
unbelievably smooth. Although I am not familiar with carbon frames,..it seems to
absorb road shock like carbon might,...incredibly damp feeling. It also is
really stable, especially in a straight line,..easy to ride with no hands,
although that does tend to draw gentle pats on the back. It does not feel
as responsive, or quick, when it comes to handling, but then, we are not looking
for a crit. bike. We rode several short steep climbs, and here it is
really amazing. Of course some of that comes from a 15 lb. weight
difference,..still,..when we were out of the saddle, it is truly responsive, and
I don't feel any whip down low.
Really cool!!
Here's a pic of the finished bike.
THANKS for your help with this,...turned out better than I'd hoped!
NOTE FROM MARK:
Bike speced with Reynolds 55mm rake fork. Now also available with Alpha Q 44mm rake fork.
