The Primera

If you're looking for your first tandem, you may already have found that it doesn't take long to become overwhelmed by the choices you're faced with. It's tempting to buy a tandem from a familiar big-name mountain bike maker. But you'll find as you ask die-hard tandem enthusiasts that a Co-Motion tandem will reward you many times over for just a little more.

The heart and soul of a tandem is its frame, and like all Co-Motion tandems, the way we build the Primera is innovative and undeniably better. We build a stronger and straighter tandem frame by using continuous uninterrupted top and lateral tubes made precisely to our specifications. We've also earned a reputation as the best handling of them all in part due to our unbeatable Co-Motion Cro-Moly tandem fork. And, we pay attention to the details you need to get the most from your tandem. With its full compliment of fittings for water bottles, racks, and fenders, the Primera is ready to take on loaded touring, but you can really feel the racing in its blood when you're spinning together smoothly on a long, smooth strip of pavement.

We build the Primera with our zonally-butted tandem tubing, made exclusively to Co-Motion's specifications. These triple-butted Cro-Moly tubes are reinforced at the tube intersections and remarkably thin in the uninterrupted zones, resulting in an incredibly strong frame with excellent shock absorbing qualities. No mass produced frame comes close to our quality and execution.

You'll benefit from our experience as the top maker of premium tandems in the component selection as well. We have gathered proven tandem components from the industry's best manufacturers to add even more value. It's the thoughtful details like these that will enhance your pride of ownership owning a genuine Co-Motion. And since the Primera is made to last a lifetime, you'll have the peace of mind that you've made a good choice for years to come.
