Starting with the Robusta's unbelievably light and rigid triple-butted Easton 7005 aluminum frame, this is the embodiment of the true racing tandem. Void of touring accoutrements and available only with dual pivot brakes, fast riding and spectacular handling were our primary design objectives for the Robusta . We have achieved our goal in part with an entirely new carbon tandem fork developed by Co-Motion Cycles in conjunction with Wound Up Composites. This fork represents the first tandem specific carbon fork on the market, reduces weight significantly and improves vibration damping, while keeping safety a top priority. In addition, the Robusta's wheels are built for speed and acceleration first and foremost, with super-light White Industries Speed Racer tandem hubs laced to Velocity Deep V aero rims mated to superb Vredestein Fortezza tires.

The Robusta is designed to be ridden hard and can take whatever you can dish out. Sprinting, climbing out of the saddle, and fierce, fast descents are all in a day’s work for this machine. Most of us do not expect this kind of practicality from a tandem bicycle that weighs 32 lbs right out of the box, but the Robusta responds eagerly and inspires you to do more.
