Will it fit?

DO NOT GUESS! TAKE MEASUREMENTS CAREFULLY - INSTALLED PARTS CAN NOT BE SOLD AS NEW

 Know these 3 things to determine fitment.

1.  FRAME LENGTH - most important!

        METHOD A - Tension Point Attainment - Simple!

                1)  Loosen eccentric, remove the chain, so it will rotate through the complete adjustment range. 

                2)  Measuring between the 2 bottom bracket axles. Are you able to attain one of these numbers? 706mm, 726mm, 729mm, 739mm, 743mm.
 
                If YES, proceed to Step 2 OR further verify the frame length via Method B below.

                If NO, stop here as there is no belt system that will fit, there is no need to call asking if it will fit a 704mm, 724mm, 737mm, or 741mm maximum dimension. The answer is still NO, a Gates belt system will NOT work.

        METHOD B - Adjustment Range - Best Way!
        Write down these 2 dimensions (your frame length range).

                1)  Measure from bottom bracket center to bottom bracket center in millimeters 
                with the eccentric in the loosest possible chain position.

                2)  Measure from bottom bracket center to bottom bracket center in millimeters
                with the eccentric in the tightest possible chain position.
      
                 3) Do one of these numbers, 706mm, 726mm, 729mm, 739mm, or 743mm, fall between the 2 numbers within your adjustment range? 

                If YES, proceed to Step 2.

                If NO, stop here as there is no belt system that will fit There is no need to call asking if it will fit a 704mm, 724mm, or 737mm maximum dimension. The answer is still NO, a Gates belt system will NOT work.            

2.  CHAINRING BOLT DISTANCE  
        Measure from one chainring bolt directly to the next. Is it near 2.5" or near 3"

3.  NUMBER OF CHAINRING BOLTS  
        Count them. Do you have 4 or 5 on each spider?

4.  FIND THE CORRESPONDING GATES SYSTEM BY APPLYING THE INFORMATION ATTAINED TO THE CHART BELOW.

            Find FRAME LENGTH in the 1st column, match to your chainring bolt spacing and the number of bolts in the 2nd column, order kit by numbers in 3rd column.

Order the appropriate system using the assigned Kit Numbers, i.e., 706-5-SAT-OL

5.  INSTALL KIT
        Required for all except 4 bolt FSA 11sp SL-K Light Carbon systems, necessary for proper sprocket to spider interface, provides optimal alignment via locking spacers that also insure bolts remain tight.  $50 - 10 alloy bolts, 10 locking spacers, and Torx tool, included. Price when ordered with complete Gates system.

6.  GATES TENSION TOOL
        Highly recommended, insures proper Gates tension spec. $50 with a complete Gates system, $52.50 if the complete system is not purchased. Phone apps proved to be unreliable, not repeatable, hence the tension tool need.

7.  SPARE BELT
        Most opt to have a spare on hand, like chains, cables, and tubes. They weigh virtually nothing, should always be carried when on a tour or when at an out of town event. Spare belts for 130bcd cranks are $135 when purchased with a complete system, $145 by itself. Spare belts for 104bcd systems are $160 when purchased with a complete system, $175 by itself.

8.  FITMENT
        The Belt System WILL fit when measuring instructions are followed, unless an unknown clearance issue surfaces. We have never seen one but.....

10.  INSTALLATION
